Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th the 28th of October, 1967. Roberts is the fourth Roberts generation that has lived in Atlanta from her great-grandfather who was a farmer John Pendleton Roberts. Her father's passion for theatre was inherited by her. in the theatre at a young age. He performed on at the Emory University campus in 1952 and in other productions around Atlanta. While stationed at Biloxi, Mississippi, he received his induction into the Air Force in the year 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. In 1955, they got married and, in 1956, their child Eric Anthony was born. Walter was a student at Tulane University at New Orleans in the year 1957, after the couple had left the US Air Force. Walter was employed by Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the couple relocated in Decatur Georgia. Walter as well as Betty Lou began producing a television show for children in the city of Decatur, Georgia titled Bum Bum and His Buddies. They funded the show by themselves. The Actors and Writers Workshop was established in 1964 and lasted for six years. Lelisa Billingsley often referred to as Lisa was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
