LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American professional basketball player that plays with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely considered one of the greatest players of all time and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has taken home four NBA championships and four NBA MVP award and four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is an NBA All-Star and has most points in playoffs, with the second most points in his career total and the seventh best assists total in his career. Additionally, as an NBA All-Star, James was picked as a member of his NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. The third highest number of NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011-2018. James was selected to be a member of the 75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became only the third NBA player to ever score more than 10,000 career points. James played basketball during his time at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, which is located near his home in Akron Ohio. His future NBA career was hypnotized by the media. As a prep-to-pro player, he was selected to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first top pick of the 2003 NBA draft. Following his selection as 2004's NBA Rookie Of The Year, he soon established himself as a premier player in the NBA receiving the NBA's MVP award both in 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency in 2010, after he failed to win championships with Cleveland. The decision to leave Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on the television show The Decision, is considered one of the controversial free-agent actions in sports history.
